Red Streaks/Eclipse.

The early sunrise rose, and by that, the cat awoke.

Yawning lazily, red beautiful streaks color the sky.

Walked up a platform to greet the morning,

What a beautiful day, thought the cat,

looking over to the house below.

The smell of the wind was light,

and something new came over everything.

The dawning of a new chapter has come,

where all the wrongs could be undone.

A new beginning, a new day & a new life,

And maybe a new reason to live.

The morning was loved, celebrated, and cherished, giving new light and hope.

But under the clouds there rose, The Moon with jealous eyes and a heart of stone.

She watched the Sun dancing in the heavens, with his rays lighting up the world.

She felt neglected, unloved and unwanted,

and swore revenge on the Sun who stole her audience.

She devised a plan to steal his precious sun rays,

and bring light upon herself on dark days.

She turned his eyes upon the earth, and saw the cat above the house.

She wanted to use the feline to get revenge, and take the Sun's light out.

She drew near him and asked for help, telling the cat that she cannot walk properly.

That she needed someone to pull a rope, for her to get to her property.

Pure in heart the cat was, he obliged.

He pulled the rope the help the moon,

until she arrives to where she resides.

Further and further he treads,

pulling the rope behind his head,

Nearer and nearer the Moon drew to the Sun,

It won't be long before the sun's rays be gone.

Finally, reaching her destination,

the Moon stepped in front of the Sun.

She wore his rays as her crown,

now Eclipse has come and Sunlight cannot be found.

darkness was all around, and no one can see,

the Sun's beauty was dead and the red streaks disappeared.

the sunlight that was once warm and bright,

now just a memory of the once beautiful red light.
