A new War has broken out,
Purple haze slowly drying the mighty red flames,
A Griffin has entered the Dragon's lair,
wanting to take the throne.
There were roars and grunts from the dragon's snout,
Bursting flames in its throat.
The Griffin spreads her wings to intimidate,
Spreading it wide to boast.
The two creatures soared to fight,
in a whirlwind of fury and light.
The battle seemed to take forever,
taking countless days and sleepless nights.
What seemed never ending would suddenly end,
with the Dragon out of breath,
and the Griffin crippled at end.
What seemed to be the battle of ages
no one won.
Only spent energy,
Spent on none.
Both grew tired of the scourge,
retreated and stopped the onslaught.
from then on, an alliance was forged,
of the Griffin and the Dragon reborn.
the Dragon and the Griffin.
Sleep.
sleep is what i desire
one without any dreams
free from pain and fire,
void of any thoughts or feelings.
slumber is what i await,
so peaceful that i may rest
so deep that i wish i do not wake,
free from problems that pest.
sleep is what i need,
to rest my weary mind
and regain my tired body.
Sleep is what i want,
to escape these feelings of sorrow,
with hope and pray'r
that they will disappear tomorrow.
Lord, grant me sleep
As I close my eyes and pray
that you may your angels keep
me and my loved ones safe today.
Apple.
There was a legendary apple tree at the center of town,
given by the gods to grant wishes to the villagers.
There were thousands of apples,
but no apple would fall out.
The tree only gives a single apple to each
under any circumstance, none must eat another.
anyone who attempts will meet an ill fate,
so horrid their own lives they may take.
A man came and looked up to see
so many apples on the tree,
All were red, shiny and round.
"I wonder which one's for me?" he said.
One fell and rolled to his feet,
he picked it up and started to eat.
But there were other apples that started to fall,
each one looking more tempting as the other.
By gluttony, the man threw the apple on hand,
and picked up the ripest looking apple on the land.
He took a bite and saw,
vile worms and maggots, spoiled and gross.
He died three days later,
due to the curse of the Apple Tree,
It was a warning to man
Better is not satisfaction guaranteed.
